If that had happened to me, I would have hidden in a corner. My Mom had the opposite reaction: Even when she was in her 60s and 70s, she would walk into a room like she owned it — like she was royality. She was proud, tough and confident — yet not arrogant. An amazing woman. An amazing person. I wish I had even half her gumption.
