Escalpelo de la Esperilla

Never once in Escalpelo
Did I ever meet a fellow
Speaking Spanish with a cello
In his lap.

There’s that time is Esperilla,
I was drinkin’ Sarsaparilla,
When I met Sir Gasparilla
With his cap.

That’s when he waved his E-sp-a-da,
Said he was from south Grenada,
Where his Mum made empanadas,
Rolled in fat.

“Ah, that dear sweet Señorita,
(Her family named her Rita)
Who often cooked frittatas,
While I napped.”

Now I must end this sad cuento,
It’s my final sweet memento,
Not worth a fake centavo,
Or a scrap.

Like that time in Sausalito,
When I met Judge Sam Alito,
As he traveled incognito,
Singing “Rap.”
