Dive in!

You have a good story. Write it. If they don’t use it, we (you & I) will look for another publication. It’s all part of “the writing game,” the learning curve, the deal. You’ve got to jump in, all in, if only for the experience. Many years ago, when I first started playing guitar, one of the toughest things to get over was the pain of the metallic strings on my soft, pink fingertips. It hurt. Then it hurt worse. Until finally I’d built up calluses. I’m excited for you. You’re starting the journey into write-hood: You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll want to throw something at me — but when you’re being published on a routine basis, you’ll look back and be glad you dived in — all in.
